IIT Gandhinagar is organizing Blithchron, the annual cultural festival during January 30-31, 2016. Blithchron is one of the most awaited college cultural fests in West India which witnessed a footfall of 25,000 students from colleges all around India. Blithchron has witnessed an exponential inflation in footfall from 1000 to 25000 in 7 years. Blithchron imputes a euphoric atmosphere by seamlessly bringing together the eccentric young minds of the country.
Blithchron is derived from the words BLITHE- CHRONOS meaning “time of festivity”. Blithchron was a kick-start by the maiden batch of IITGN. Blithchron’s influence on colleges is flourishing with each passing year. The shimmering lights and the ear deafening sound of Blithchron gives one of it’s kind experience each time.
The festival will see enthralling performance from Coke studio and host various other fun and frolic flagship events whose brief details are mentioned below.
Panache: War of fashionistas, Fashion show with team performance of leading colleges from Ahmedabad.
The Butler Did it (TBDI): Crime Mystery thriller, don the hat of a detective and solve cleverly crafted mysteries.
Antaragnee: Street play competition with a message on various burning current issues.
Jobless: Defend your fake CV and face grueling rounds to get a feel of real life interviews to snatch the job.
Euphony: Solo Singing competition, conducted with 3 rounds of Elimination to get the best out of you. (Optional-It witnessed Darshan Rawal as contestant in last year’s edition making it one of the most exciting event.)
Adrenaline: Treasure Hunt competition conducted all across Ahmedabad, solve the clues and perform the tasks to grab the top spot.
String Theory: Battle of Bands, power packed performances from various bands ranging from soft rock to hard metal to win it all.
Paintball: Don the armor and wield the paint guns to strategize and win a battle.
Various other informal competitions and events would provide students a platform to enjoy, learn and win prizes as well.
